Norman Alan Hardman appeals the district courts affirmation of the magistrate courts judgments of conviction for the crimes of obstructing and delaying a peace officer and failure to produce proof of liability insurance. We vacate the judgment of conviction for obstructing a peace officer because Hardman was denied his right to counsel and we remand for further proceedings on that charge. However, we affirm the judgment of conviction for failure to produce proof of insurance. Our reasons follow.
