The appellant, Paul Alberts, pled guilty to two counts of sexual abuse of a child under the age of sixteen years. I.C. Â§ 18-1506. He received unified sentences of fifteen years, with five years minimum confinement, on each count. The district court also ordered that the sentences be served consecutively. After a period of retained jurisdiction, the court relinquished its jurisdiction and later denied a motion by Alberts under I.C.R. 35 to reduce his sentences.
