In this case we examine sentences imposed upon a drunk driver who killed two people. Richard Lee pled guilty to two counts of vehicular manslaughter -- one for each death.[Footnote 1] He was sentenced to a fixed term of seven years on the first count and to a consecutive, indeterminate period of seven years on the second count. The sole issue on appeal is whether the district Judge abused his discretion by failing to make both sentences indeterminate and concurrent. For reasons explained below, we hold that he did not.
